W
hen setting sail on a Disney cruise, the wide-
open sea becomes an endless dream, filled
with the possibility that every memory of your
adventure will live on. Sailing aboard the
Disney
Fantas
y opened my family’s eyes to the things
cruising should really be about: family, friends,
memories and experiences to last a lifetime.
Traveling aboard the
Fantasy
withmy parents and
daughter, we set sail with every intention of squeezing
as many experiences as possible into our short cruise.
From the moment we pulled away from the dock, the
party had begun. Disney's sail away party includes all
of your favorite Disney characters and plenty of fun –
everyone is eager to begin their vacation!
Once settled there is plenty to do...we began with
what Disney is known best for, which is putting on a
great show. TheWalt DisneyTheatre provides each seat
with a spectacular view of the one of kind productions,
that only Disney can produce. Most performances
feature your favorite characters or simply a theatrical
adaptation of your favorite Disney film.
The dining options are extraordinary and
Fantasy’s
buffet, the on-board feature for which all cruise
lines are known, is no exception. Cabana's offers a
great variety of food, for even the pickiest eater. The
Royal Court, The Enchanted Garden and Animator's
Palate are more traditional dining where a guests
full tummy and tantalized palate is what the staff
is after. Parents or adults who are sailing alone or
looking for time away from the kids can enjoy Remy
or Palo. One thing is certain, no matter with whom
or where you dine, you will not leave hungry!
The sun is shining, the salty sea breeze is blowing
and poolside is where you can find me. The Disney
Fantasy features an impressive waterslide! Riding
Aqua Duck is quite an exiting activity at sea,
especially if you're nine-years-old and convince, not
only your grandfather to ride it with you, but your
grandmother too!
Need a little down time by the pool? Disney
provides the best children's programs at sea.
Providing kids of any age with a safe, educational
and, most of all, fun place to spend their days and
evenings, trust me...they'll want to be there, more
than they'll want to be with you on your family
vacation.
Whether you enjoy the spa, different types of
nightlife and lounges, extra family time with the
Muppets Adventure Game, no other cruise line can
give parents, grandparents, children and adults
these exclusive Disney experiences aboard one of
it's magical ships.
Start the best party at sea by dressing up like a pirate.
Disney illuminates the night sky with a fireworks
display, second to none, after Mickey and pals, save
the ship from a bunch of scurvy pirates...you know the
ones–Captain Hook and Mr. Smee.
Disney has thought of everything to make the
ship exceptional, including a stop at Castaway Cay,
Disney's own private island. Who doesn't love a
day that includes toes in the sand, a cool ocean
breeze tickling the face and plenty of seaside fun for
everyone? With beaches for families and adults only,
the whole family is sure to find a great place to nap
under an umbrella, ride bikes around the island or
build the perfect sand castle.
As Jiminy Cricket sang, “Anything your heart
desires will come to you.” If wishing on a star makes
you happy, by all means do so, though it’s not
necessary to experience the magic while sailing
with Disney Cruise Line. Travel to ports of call near
and far, with your family, while letting the magic of
each and every Disney experience create memories
for young and old. If you haven't experienced the
wonder of Disney Cruise Line, what are you waiting
for? The stars at sea are ready for your wish!

Talkin' to Tow Mater
The Happiest Place on Earth just got a whole lot
happier with the opening of Cars Land at Disney
California Adventure Park this past June. Tow Mater,
the famous tow truck from the movie Cars, gave us
the inside scoop.
What can we expect at Cars Land?
Dadgum! You is gonna be able to race as fast as
Lightning! Don’t you worry if you ain’t never done
raced before, ’cause all my friends are gonna help get
you ready. Best of all, Doc Hudson is gonna be your
crew chief.
What’s up at Luigi and Guido’s Casa della Tires?
They got the most amazing tires you ever did see.
They float on air. Yessiree, you hop on top of one of
them tires and float around, spinning and bumpin’
into folks on other tires. And watch out, you never
know who you might bump into.
I hear you’ve got something going
on at your junkyard.
What I
did was
build me a
jukebox out
of junk from
my junkyard,
write me
some songs,
and start
singing. Well
wouldn’t you know it—a whole mess of little tractors
that was causin’mischief in town done heard me
singing. Them little tractors roll right in and start to
dance. They is still dancing, waiting for you to join ’em!
Now that you’re famous, have you changed?
The only thing I’ll ever change is my oil. Oh, and my
coolant. And my tires. But I won’t be changing them
for a while. Don’t tell Luigi—he’s always trying to get
me into a new set of whitewalls.
Do you still rescue cars?
Rescuin’ is what I’m made for. If you ever need a tow,
you know where to go. I’m open 42 hours a day, 18
days a week. Use my towing service once and you’ll
be hooked.
With gas prices so high, do you have sticker shock?
Well, I’m never too shocked—unless I put my jumper
cables on backwards. Done that more than a few times.
When we’re at the Disneyland Resort, can we
say hello?
You sure can, and I’ll say hello right back! That’s what
friends do.
