AAA north Jersey Congratulates 2016 graduates and Promotes Safe and Sober graduation
AAA North Jersey is supplying more than 17,000 American flag key chains
to high school graduates this year as part of Project Graduation. Project Graduation is an event through which graduating students can celebrate their achievement together...in a non-alcohol environment. The key chains feature
the American flag on one side and the safety message, “Have a Safe and Sober Graduation 2016” on the reverse side. AAA North Jersey provides these key chains free of charge to high schools in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties. Congratulations to all 2016 graduates!
AAA North Jersey’s Manager of Public and Government Services, Stephen Rajczyk, is joined by graduating seniors Rocio Munoz and Yanira Ramos from the Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, New Jersey.
Improve your map Reading Skills with AAA Course
boating Safety Class
AAA North Jersey will offer a course about “Boating Safety” that is designed to appeal to all recreational boaters including personal watercraft operators, hunters, anglers, and other boaters who cannot find time for a full, comprehensive boating safety course. This course is approved by the National Association of Boating Law Administrators and meets all the requirements for the certification in NJ for all vessel operators.
Completion of this course will provide the students with a nJ Boating Safety
Certificate. This course covers: safety and legal requirements, navigation rules, PWC and small boat handling, emergency measures, trailering
and courtesy. The class requires the student to attend all eight hours of instruction.
The fee for the eight-hour course is $75.00 for AAA members and $90.00 for non-members. This course will require attendance at two sessions, each session lasting four hours.

If you have trouble reading a map, you
are not alone. Many motorists struggle with
finding mileage, direction, travel time and destinations on a road map. You may not have these map reading problems, but everyone can improve their map reading skills and make automobile trips more enjoyable by attending AAA North Jersey’s map reading course.
Our AAA north Jersey course will take the guesswork out of reading a map
and make highway travel much more enjoyable. We have structured the course to bolster geographic literacy and map
reading skills in an interesting three- hour, hands-on workshop. The club’s map reading expert, John Tilli, will assist the students in the major elements of map reading: boundaries and features, distances, grids, orientation, perspective and scales. Both novice and experienced map readers will benefit from this hands- on workshop.
The course is conducted in our Wayne office Saturday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Please register early, as class size is limited.
