fall fairs, feasts and festivals along the East Coast.
NEW JERSEY
September 9 - 10
Atlantic City Seafood Festival has moved to a new venue – the open space outside of the Showboat Hotel. This annual favorite will once again feature some of the city’s best seafood as well as numerous events and activities for families and foodies alike. Returning again this year is the Chowder Cook-Off, a highlight for many.
September 23
The 6th Annual Stone Harbor Savor September Festival will showcase the best food, wine, microbrews, art, music and culture the area has to offer. Oyster and clam shucking, carnival games, zoo animals and art activities for kids, a grape stomping competition and a café with fire pits
for the evening live entertainment. Held in the 96th Street Shopping District.
September 30
Sea Isle City Harborfest, a bay-side festival celebrating Sea Isle’s fishing and nautical history. A seafood fair with nautical demonstrations, delicious seafood, live entertainment, nautical displays, crafts and specialty vendors. Marina Park, 42nd Place and the Bay, free.
October 13 - 31
Halloween Happenings in Cape May. The best time of year to visit Victorian Cape May and celebrate the unique heritage and history of America’s first seashore resort. Enjoy exciting and entertaining weekend activities. This citywide event offers historic house tours, ghost tours, murder mystery dinners, psychic tea, scarecrow shows and much more. Admission charges for some programs.
October 13 - 14
Fabulous ’50s Weekend in Wildwood, a citywide celebration of doo wop music and classic cars showcasing Wildwood’s unique role in music history. Concert tickets priced at $16 - $71.50.

Hot Rod and Custom Car Show in Ocean City, held in conjunction with Endless Summer Cruisin’.
This popular car show displays wild custom cars, hot muscle cars, tricked-out American street rods, and extreme trucks with brilliant paint, bright chrome, and more! Octoberfest Beach Maze on the beach in Ocean City. Free family fun! Wicked witches, pirates of the sand, scary scarecrows, ghouls in the graveyard, zombies, and more await your arrival. (Inlet - 27th) Oceanside Boardwalk, N. Division Street.

Howl-o-ween Pet Parade on the Boardwalk and
N. Division Street, Ocean City. This event offers
lots of prizes and surprises for best-dressed pets, family and friends. Gather your goblins, dress in your best costume and parade the boards. Free with donation of pet food or other pet-friendly item to Humane Society. Registration is at 12:00 p.m. Parade starts at 1:00 p.m., Oceanside Boardwalk (Inlet - 27th).

Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 39th Annual Sandcastle Contest. Over 100 teams are expected to express their artistic flair. Past creations have included swamp animals, mermaids, pyramids, crabs, dolphins, sharks, and traditional sandcastles. Beachgoers who would rather watch than work are welcome to view the incredible creations
free of charge. The contest will be held on the beach between Delaware and Laurel Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.

Sea Witch Halloween and Fiddlers Festival in Downtown Rehoboth Beach features the Fiddler’s Festival, 5K race, sea witch hunt, scarecrow making, costume parade, horse show on the beach, broom- tossing contest, best costumed dog parade, trick
or treat nights, hayrides, cackle contest, plus magic and entertainment shows. This is one of the best fall weekends to spend in Rehoboth Beach with your family. Admission charges for some programs.
