Christmas on the Potomac at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. With nearly 500,000 visitors each year, Gaylord National Resort will offer guests both new events and classic holiday favorites – including its award- winning ICE! attraction – during its eighth annual celebration November 21, 2015 through January
3, 2016. Marvel at more than two million twinkling lights, amazing nightly snowfall and beautiful dancing fountains. Back this year is ICE! with a
new theme featuring Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town! Learn how Santa Claus started giving toys to good girls and boys in the retelling of the classic television special. Enjoy a special
birth, or the arrival of a new colonial governor. Join Colonial Williamsburg for this special day by strolling the Revolutionary City and viewing all the unique decorations. Enjoy musical performances from multiple stages and delight in the fireworks displays from three different locations. Grand Illumination is held the Sunday of the first full weekend in December. the season at Busch Gardens’ Christmas TownTM. Christmas Town brings holiday traditions to life with heartwarming shows, delicious holiday dining
celebrate the sounds of the season during "A Longwood Christmas," featuring free and ticketed holiday-inspired performances. Sing along to the sounds of the season during daily live performances played on Longwood’s grand 10,010-pipe organ. Additional free holiday performances from choirs and performers add to the festive holiday feel. Longwood works its holiday magic outdoors, too. More than 500,000 outdoor lights adorning trees in classical and free-style form abound. The lighting extravaganza includes the addition of lighting select trees in the eastern portion in the Gardens near the picturesque lake and in Longwood Meadow Garden. Fountains dance day and night
to holiday music in the Open Air Theatre (weather permitting) and glimmering, starry snowflakes hang overhead. In Longwood’s historic Chimes Tower, the 62-bell carillon plays holiday music every half hour. Strolling performances fill the gardens with holiday music at every turn on weekends. A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place® is a one-of-a-kind Christmas wonderland with millions of twinkling lights, three special Christmas shows,

Colonial Williamsburg’s
Christmas season officially begins
with Grand Illumination, a
spectacular evening when candles twinkle in the windows of Historic Area homes and buildings. In the 18th century, illuminations, which included the firing of guns and lighting of fireworks, were held
to celebrate major events, such as great military victories, the anniversary of the reigning sovereign’s
displays generations of area families enjoy. The four-acre heated Conservatory of 16,000 seasonal plants, including poinsettias accented with amaryllis, lilies, begonias, cyclamen, and hydrangea flourish. Elegantly decorated trees soar and sparkle throughout the Conservatory. Performances
