As I begin my term as your Chairman, I would like to sincerely thank Jessica Meyers for her past two years of excellent service as your Chairman and 10 years of service
as a board member of your club.
The transition has been seamless, thanks to Jessica’s cooperation and assistance.
I have been part of your board for five years and have served on several board committees in various
capacities as well as serving as Assistant Secretary of the Board. I look forward to working with the board, management and staff of your club
as we continue to explore ways to enhance benefits and add value to the membership card in your pocket.

AAA CENTRAL PENN BOARD OF DIRECTORS
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jessica Meyers for her past two years as Chairman of the Board. We are pleased to have Jessica remain as a board member; her leadership and insight are of significant value to our club.
I am pleased to welcome our new Chairman, Larry Brown. As a member of our board since 2012, Larry
operating in the counties of Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry.” Its 80 members elected Mr. Vance C. McCormick as the first president, as well as a
1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. A nine-member Board of Governors was also put in place. With their excellent guidance and hard work the Motor Club of Harrisburg took its place in the community. There were less than 15,000 cars and trucks licensed in Pennsylvania at this time. In these early years, the Motor Club of Harrisburg was very influential in pushing for legislative changes to make roads, bridges and infrastructure safer for drivers and pedestrians.
Today, AAA aims to protect motorists and has never lost sight of its primary functions of member service. Having evolved into a full-service organization, AAA provides roadside assistance, travel services, insurance services and financial services.
As we begin another season of vacations and road trips, I would like to remind you to check your car to be sure it is in top-notch shape for travel – protecting you and your passengers. And while you are in the checking mode, why not review your insurance to make sure you have the proper coverage. Just as in 1907, AAA‘s primary function is member service and your safety. Safe travels.
